Privacy policy

We only ask for what we need to introduce you to women you'll genuinely get on with. Your profile is never public, never searchable, and never sold. Your photo and your answers are shown only to the 3–5 women in your circle, and only once you've been matched.

+you is a small London friendship service run by Lauryn and Mel. For UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us any time through our contact page.

• Your name, email address and password (kept encrypted — we never see it).
• Your age, London area, occupation and optional photo.
• Your interests, availability, budget, travel areas and the answers you give during sign-up.
• Messages you send in your circle chat and feedback you give after a meetup.
• Basic technical information such as your device type, used to keep the service working.

• To match you into a small circle of compatible women (our legitimate interest in providing the service you asked for).
• To email you about your match, your meetup and your feedback (necessary to perform our agreement with you).
• To keep +you safe — reviewing reports, spotting no-shows, and removing anyone who isn't here in good faith.
• To understand, in aggregate, whether +you is working. We never sell or share your individual profile.

The women in your circle see your first name, photo, area, age, interests and your sign-up answers — after you've been matched, not before. Feedback you give about another woman is never shown to her. Our team can see your profile in order to match you and keep the community safe.

Only the suppliers that make the service run: our hosting and database provider, and our email delivery provider. They process data on our instructions and nothing more. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if someone's safety depends on it.

For as long as your account is open, and for up to 12 months after you leave so that we can handle any safety concerns. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your profile, photo and messages.

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We use only what's needed to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. No advertising trackers.

Match, meetup and feedback emails are part of the service. You can turn each type off in your profile settings, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
