Why it's harder for women
Dating apps aren't built for it. Group chats go quiet. Women carry the emotional labour of reaching out — again — and it gets exhausting. Everyone else seems to already have their people.
+you gently introduces you to a small circle of 3–5 women in London — your future brunch group, travel crew and Sunday walk companions. We hand-pick your match, then plan your first meetup.
No swipes, no feeds, no cold DMs. Just a quietly thoughtful process, then a real meetup.
A few thoughtful questions — what lights you up, when you're free, and where in London you call home.
Every Thursday at 7pm we hand-pick a small circle of 3–5 women we think you'll genuinely click with.
We suggest the activity, the spot, the time — a Sunday brunch, an R&B night in Dalston, a slow walk on the Heath.
Everyone accepts, chat unlocks, and you meet. After, we help the connections you loved keep going.
A taste of what your first plans might look like.
Our story
"I'd love a new friend — and I have no idea where to begin."
A quiet thought a lot of women have had, and rarely say out loud.
Meet the founders
We both moved to a big city where we barely knew anyone.
On paper, London promised endless opportunities, millions of people, and something happening every night. But the reality was very different. Most weekends we'd find ourselves scrolling through our contacts, wondering who to text, or staying home because we didn't have anyone to make plans with.
Like so many women, we turned to Facebook groups hoping to meet people. That's actually where we found each other, through the Lonely Gals London community.
But getting there wasn't easy.
Before we met, there were months of awkward one-off coffees, conversations that never went anywhere, and endlessly scrolling through hundreds of comments trying to find someone who lived nearby, liked the same things, and happened to be free at the same time. Making friends felt like a second job.
Then we got lucky.
We met, clicked immediately, and realised how different life in London felt when you had someone to share it with. But one thought kept coming back:
Why should finding genuine friendships depend on luck?
That's why we created +you.
The idea is simple: instead of spending hours searching, messaging, and hoping for the best, we do the matching for you. We bring together small groups of women with shared interests, similar lifestyles, and availability — so you can skip the exhausting part and get straight to what really matters:
Sitting around a table, laughing with women who feel like you've known them for years, and walking away with friendships that actually last.
Dating apps aren't built for it. Group chats go quiet. Women carry the emotional labour of reaching out — again — and it gets exhausting. Everyone else seems to already have their people.
The moving, unsettled chapter. First flats, career pivots, breakups, engagements, first babies, moves across the city. The years friendships shift the most — and a small, thoughtful circle changes everything.
Big rooms of 50 strangers are daunting alone and lonely with a plus one. In a circle of 3 to 5, everyone actually talks. Intimate, warm, impossible to hide in — the size real friendships are made at.
Our purpose
To make it easier for women in London to find the brunch group, the travel crew, the Sunday walk companions — the ordinary, extraordinary friendships that make a city feel like home.
You don't need to be anyone new here. You just need to say yes to one first meetup.
Honest answers, no fine print.
